Sunrooms
Sheppards can build a sunroom for you to fit any space; just provide us with your ideas and dimensions and we'll create a beautiful, pleasing, valuable addition to your home.
Designed and constructed to provide years of enjoyment with very little maintenance, the paint on the extrusions is guaranteed for 20 years.
The heat issue is a concern we have addressed and managed. For south/west exposure our preferred roof is an aluminum skinned foam panel with skylights to preserve the light in your room.
The skylights can be acrylic (clear, bronze, or an opaque white).
All the side walls have opening windows and are fully screened. If necessary additional vents can be provided, or ceiling and side exhaust fans installed.
We can also provide window glass with ultraviolet or heat transmission protection.
Don't forget you can use your room in the winter; many of our rooms go into northern climates in Canada. The sun will warm a room very quickly as will a freestanding fireplace or in-floor radiant heating. Another alternative would be a small, electric heater to provide quick, economical warmth.
